DME and DMS diaphragm pumps are the milestone of the digital dosing concept. In contrast to conventional technology, the oscillating DME / DMS diaphragm metering pumps work with a microprocessor-controlled stepper or synchronous motor, which is connected directly to the diaphragm via a slider crank mechanism with eccentric and toothed belt.
The position of the membrane is precisely defined in every phase of the suction and pressure stroke. While the dosing quantity of traditional dosing pumps is controlled by both the stroke length and the stroke frequency, DME and DMS pumps always work with the full stroke length. The pump body is always optimally filled and shows optimal suction behavior even with degassing media. With DME and DMS pumps, dosing quantities are only influenced by the stroke frequency (DMS) or the stroke speed (DME), which leads to the highest dosing accuracy, especially with small dosing quantities (e.g. 0.0025 l / h).
